Good Equipment Makes Camping More Enjoyable

Orders for Tripods will be filled in 7 to 10 business days at this time. We appreciate your patience!

We also found that one size doesn't fit all. There are many personal preference for camp cooking. We want you to have just what you need and encourage custom orders. Grates and hangers can be made for your tripod or as separate pieces that will work in conjunction with your existing equipment.

The 4 piece set includes your Hand Forged Tripod, an adjustable chain and hook, a pigtail grilling fork and a wall hanger for storage.

The main leg has a forged loop that hangs over the center of the fire pit for holding dutch ovens and grates. The adjustable chain and hook system allow your ovens to hang at any height over the fire. The two support legs thread on to the main leg at the top hook and are approximately 62" to 64" long. They will stand or spread to the height that best suits your fire pit. The 4th piece is a Pigtail Fork that also works well as a lid lifter. Included is a wall mount storage hanger for easy dry storage of your set.

If your outdoor cooking needs would be better suited by an H frame set up, you simply drive the two  support legs into the ground and run the main support leg through the loops at the top of each support leg. We highly recommend that you stake your legs off when set up in an H frame. Cast iron cookware is quite heavy and staking will ensure a stable cooking frame.

Care for your Custom Forged Campfire Equipment

We highly recommend dry storage for your Iron Tripod and other iron dutch oven cooking equipment. Iron that is subjected to open flame and used outdoors will need some light care. Polish your tripod occasionally with a beeswax based polish. Beeswax is a wonderful natural protectant for ironwork. Spray bees wax can be purchased at Lehmans Brothers.

Should heavy rusting occur due to moisture exposure, clean your tripod with boiled linseed oil. It will remove the rust and condition your iron. Rub excess with an old dry cloth and apply a fresh coat of bees wax polish. *Note: use an old rag that can be thrown away to apply Linseed Oil. Its a little stinky!
