Hackefors Porslin Swedish Tea Bag Dish
Lovely Blue Aster on White Swedish Porslin Tea Dish
I have a thing for these vintage Tea Bag Dishes. I can't help it! They are always so pretty. And the pride of the makers shows in the intricate detail work and lovely handprinted graphics.
This is one of the smallest I have seen. Definitely made for one tea bag. A lady skilled in proper manners could gently press her tea bag with a spoon and pour the tea out the hole in the bottom of the leaf.
The little piece of Swedish Porslin is shaped in a maple leaf in a white glaze. The edges are gilded in Gold. The center of the shallow bowl showcases a hand painted Blue Aster in all its glory!
If you are a collector of tea cups or tea related wonders this would be a nice addition to your collection. Or maybe your shelf could use a Blue Aster to brighten your space. The vintage glass dish is approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter all around. The Hallmark of the Hackefors Pottery is clear on the bottom. There are no chips, cracks or crazing.
