In the spirit of great thoroughbreds I have some wonderful pieces that would be perfect for someone decorating an equine inspired room.

The beautiful antique art print is entitled Fashion and Peytona. The 2 horses ran for what was a fortune at that time. This Currier and Ives Print is from the 1955 Coffee table book of prints. The publication was a book of over 80 large prints suitable for framing. The book was hand sewn and the holes are visible on the left border of the print. The print fits perfectly into a 16x20 inch mat for framing. The paper is clean and edges are sharp. The book had stayed mostly closed all these years protecting the rich colors on thick soft paper. I love that the print includes so much detail. The horses names and times are printed as well as the jockeys and what they were wearing. It is a beautiful piece of Americana and history.

The second decorator piece is a Mint Julep cup from the 70's with the initials JWH engraved on it. The silver cup polished up quite nicely with some shadowing of the tarnish. I could not find any hallmarks on the silver. I wasn't able to determine the exact race only that it was sometime during the 70's.
