Small Scalloped Rim Porcelain China Dish by Lefton
In my research I found that 2538 was the number assigned to the delicate violet flowers used to accent several pieces of this series. The V was assigned to the small bowl. During this time accents on their china were hand painted by skilled artist. Many pieces have marks of the makers hand work. This small footed vessel is pure white with a garland of lavender blooms. The Lefton Hallmark is clearly visible on the bottom.
The antique dish is 7 inches long and 5 inches wide and 2 inches deep. At one time the rim was gilded in gold but most of that is gone. There a a few rough spots on one end of the rim. No cracks or breaks.
