A beautifully made Poppy Flower created with delicate Ivory loops is the face of this pair of vintage Ear Rings. The center of the bloom features little a cluster of tiny poppy stamens. The attention to detail is a reflection of the maker.
The 1 1/2" diameter blooms are mounted on a silver clip style setting the ear rings have Germany stamped on them. I don't think it is the grade of silver but a makers mark. Before the war pieces made in the region were marked Germany. After the war they were marked either East or West Germany. Production of all products stopped during the war years.
They have an interesting background and are visually appealing. I feel a good jeweler could convert these to a different back. They Ivory poppies would also be wonderful accents for a creative project like hats or a shadow box garden.
