1952 Currier and Ives Lithograph - Four Seasons of Life, Old Age
One of the Four Seasons of Life, "Old Age"
The amazing talents of artists assembled by Nathan Currier throughout the 1800's left us a precious historical vision of life in early America. Works were often produced in series and appeared in publications of the day.
The Four Seasons of Life were represented in childhood, youth, marriage and old age. The 1952 Antique Print is from the book Currier and Ives America. The print was carefully removed from the hand sewn pages. The thick paper is clean with sharp edges. It comes in a 16 x 20 inch White Mat, backed and ready for the framing your choosing. It is a wonderful piece of vintage Americana.
I have only 1 copy of "Old Age", the fourth in the series available for your collection.
From the Time Keepers Cottage Antique Art Collection.
