1952 Curriers and Ives Lithograph - "The Puzzled Fox"
A Vintage Picture Puzzle From Currier and Ives
The amazing talents of artists assembled by Nathan Currier throughout the 1800's left us a precious historical vision of life in early America. Works were often produced in series and appeared in publications of the day. Picture puzzles were games that were beautiful works of art.
The Puzzled Fox creates a scene where a very confused Fox searches but can not find the hidden creatures and faces in the woods. The drawing is extraordinary as is the art of disguise.
The 1952 Antique Print is from the book Currier and Ives America. The print was carefully removed from the hand sewn pages. The thick paper is clean with sharp edges.
It comes in a 16 x 20 inch White Mat, backed and ready for the framing your choosing. It is a wonderful piece of vintage Americana.
I have only 1 copy of The Puzzled Fox available for your collection.
