1907 Currier and Ives Lithograph - "Trotting The Cracks At The Forge"
Antique American Artwork by Currier and Ives
This wonderful copy of a Currier and Ives Classic hails from the American Bank Note Company. The set of 4 hand colored prints were given as gifts to customers. The company closed before 1910.
The Series of wonderful artwork depicting the great American Trotters were beautiful and captured for us in art snapshots of America Life at the turn of the Century.
I love that the names of the horses are printed on the lithograph. Someone was very proud of the horses and the stable. This print is in good condition for its age. Most of the wear and staple damage is on the outer edge and does not effect the printed area.
The antique Lithograph is in a 16 x 20 White Mat and ready for your favorite frame. The Mat is acid-free and archival quality.
