Iron and Brass Fire Place Trivet
The 30's and 40's saw many homes bring art nouveau styles into fashion with beautiful ornamental accents on home hardware. The hearth was a vital part of life and the visual center of the room. Tools that were both eye appealing and well functioning were the standard.
This is a nice tall The flat iron legged base holds a brass art nouveau designed trivet. These are lovely as a plant stand or a pedestal for display of a special peice. Beveled peice of glass added to the top would make a perfect little drink table.
The 1930's Iron Trivet is 14 inches Tall and 13 !/2 inches deep. It has a 10 inch by 10 inch footprint. The brass trivet is 9 inches by 7 inches. It has a nice wooden handle 5 inches long with a 1 1/2 inch diameter. It weighs approximately 3 pounds.
