 Penrod is a collection of comic sketches by Booth Tarkington that was first published in 1914. The book follows the misadventures of Penrod Schofield, an eleven-year-old boy growing up in the pre-World War I Midwestern United States, in a similar vein to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

This is a First Edition Copy in good condition. It is missing the original dust jacket but has stayed clean and has litlle wear. The pages have yelowed softy and have sharp edges and corners. There are orange crayon markings in several places that so not effect readability. The book is 306 pages of wonderful stories of the fictional characters.

The hard back covers are firm and show little edge wear. The fabric is a textured faded cream color. The boards are firmly attached to the spine and pages.
