Stunning Antique Foil Brooch

Artisan Made Antique Brooch with Lovely Colors and Pattern 

The Cabochon in the center of this brass tone victorian style brooch caught my eye as the colors of carnival glass had a opaline effect. Closer inspection found a intricate pattern and some skillfully applied foil work. 

The cabochon is set in a brass tone bezel surrounded by 2 rows of beaded trim. The setting is 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches and can be worn vertically or horizontally. The hinged C clasp is soldered not glued to the pin. There are no markings save for a single circle under the clasp. 

This piece would draw the eye on anything you chose to pin it to! Very Unique colors and textures. I would love to know more about the technique or maker. I found similar pieces produced from the later part of the 1800's through the 1930's but I have no way to date this piece.
