The Madison County Cook Book
Homespun Recipes, Family Traditions, & Recollections from Winterset, Iowa
This wonderful Cook Book filled with a large recipe collection comes from the heart of Madison County, Winterset, Iowa and the St. Josephs Church.
This is the town in Iowa where the movie The Bridges of Madison County was filmed. It is also the birth place of John Wayne. The cover reads "It is a place where the simple values of faith family and friends have not been forgotten."
The hard back cover first edition Cook Book is a delightful read. Full of stories, knowledge and of course Sunday dinner recipes that will make you eat way too much. There are one 500 recipes and countless pages of wonderful content to go along with them.
There are 512 pages including 2 blank pages in the back for hand written notes. I encourage the new owner to make some hand written notes before you pass this one along.
The book is in mint condition. The original dust jacket is also clean and in very good shape. It shows little sign of use.
